Description
Unveiled in 1988 as an Australian Bicentennial Project, Wind and Wave represents patterns of sunlight, water, clouds and seabirds in flight. Lenton Parr was the Dean of Arts and Director of the Victoria College of the Arts through the 1970s and 1980s. He began his sculptural career as an assistant to the renowned British sculptor Henry Moore and was one of Australia’s most celebrated sculptural artists notable for his works in welded steel.
